Welcome to Trauma-Informed Palliative Care

Join us in our Community of Practice

Why Trauma-Informed Palliative Care?

People living with trauma and possibly multiple disadvantage face specific barriers to accessing hospice and palliative care. We are a community of practice for people interested in developing trauma-informed working in hospice and palliative care through networking, mutual sharing and support, and promoting research to establish a firm evidence base to underpin the work.

To read more about the rationale for our project, please see 'Trauma-informed palliative care is needed: A call for implementation and research' by De Groot, Fehon and Feldstain in the Journal of Palliative Medicine (Oct '23).  https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/full/10.1177/02692163231206998?rfr_dat=cr_pub++0pubmed&url_ver=Z39.88-2003&rfr_id=ori%3Arid%3Acrossref.org
